I decided to study in Vivir Bonito Morelia for the beginning of my trip, in order to learn some Spanish and experience lots of authentic culture and food.
Before traveling to Morelia, I had been staying at a hostel in Mexico City, where I met lots of people from all around the world. On the first day, I did a guided walking tour in the historic downtown and I visited the Frida Khalo museum. I’m looking forward to exploring more of Mexico City when I go back there.
The bus trip to Morelia was 4 hours long, but it was comfortable and quiet, so it seemed really fast.
On my first day, I met Rodolfo, Berni, Pau and Jessie. During my time in Moreli, I also met some other friends of Rodolfo and Berni, who were very nice, friendly and interested in my trip.
We ate so much delicious food and we visited tons of interesting places in Morelia and its surroundings. I watched my first football match in Mexico with Todo, Berni, Paulo and Vero, as well as Plymouth Argyle on TV. I taught everybody about life in the U.K. and I enjoyed comparing our customs and traditions.
I’m very glad to have visited Morelia because I enjoyed staying in a city with such personality. I learned a lot of Spanish which will be very useful during the rest of my trip. I made new friends whom I hope to keep in touch with in the future.
