I stayed 2 weeks in Mexico, including 10 days at Vivir Bonito (as part of a Spanish program) where I was welcomed almost like a princess 🙂 Housed, fed, accompanied by Rodolfo and Bernardo, who did everything in their power to make my stay as pleasant as it was informative and enriching.
Proud of their region (Michoacán), Rodo and Berni like to share their love of Mexico, whether through culinary specialties – including the famous mole – or with guided walks through the magnificent Morelia, and excursions to the villages in the surrounding mountains as well.
The Hotel, with its spacious rooms and its colorful, cheerful and welcoming decor, is located in the historic center of the town: the soul of the rich Spanish conquistadores still floats in its streets and buildings of pink stone, in the shade of its hundred-years-old trees. In addition to the “Belle Vie”, the people, Mexico, the tacos, the multicultural encounters, Rodo and Berni also have another passion that I called “drinking”! (And yes, life wouldn’t be funny without booze!) Which doesn’t stop us from being serious, “a veces”. Thus, the Spanish lessons are provided by Rodolfo in a good mood (sober, I must specify, but with the necessary rigor).
With their experience and their valuable advice, my charming hoteliers helped me prepare for my last and short visit: the capital Mexico, which I wanted to discover before I flew more or less 10,000 km to the East, to a very small country called Belgium, where my home is.
De nuevo, ¡Muchas gracias Rodo y Berni!
